GRIEF THROUGH CHILDHOOD
On 21 September 2012 the project was dleighted to swelcome some 80 delegates to a confernece on Grief though Childhood, led by Dr Kenneth Doka from the United States.
Dr Doka is a Professor of Gerontology at the Graduate School of The College of New Rochelle in New York, and Senior Consultant to the Hospice Foundation of America. Known world-wide for his work on disenfranchised grief, Dr Doka is a prolific author on all aspects of grief and bereavement, and is editor of both Omega: The Journal of Death and Dying and Journeys: A Newsletter to Help in Bereavement.. A former president of the Association for Death Education and Counseling and chair of the International Work Group on Death Dying and Bereavement, he is the recipient of a number of awards and has delivered keynotes at conferences in America, Europe, Asia and Australasia.
